Charter Standard Development Club
Onny Junior Football Club has
pleasure in announcing that the club has achieved The FA’s
Charter Standard Development Club status, one of only six clubs
in the Shropshire to gain this prestigious status.
The FA’s Charter Standard Development Club Status is a great
achievement for the club and recognises how well the club is
organised and managed by its committee and coaching staff and
that its members can be assured that the club has a great
future.
The Charter Status Development Status ensures that the club is
run in line with the FA RESPECT programme; FA’s Codes of
Conduct’s and covers policies that ensure the safety and
protection of children playing for the club through to the clubs
constitution. The Clubs coaches undergo training and gain FA
Coaching qualifications with a commitment to attend in- service
training.
Without the players, coaches, club
officials and parents and the enormous amount of effort involved
in junior football, Onny Junior Football Club would not have
been able to achieve this remarkable status. As Secretary of
this club I would like to thank everybody involved. This
accreditation again proves that our club ethos is 100% correct
‘Teamwork – Sportsmanship – Friendship’ |

2010 is a cause for celebration for
Onny Juniors. The Club has brought the great game of football to
local children since starting in 1995
by Steve Smith and Paul Walters by
initially forming an under 10’s friendly side from Onibury
School. The team played on Saturdays against other local
schools. Playing on small ground at the rear of Onny School just
about big enough for U10’s, other teams always liked the
friendly atmosphere at the school and this has always been the
aim of those in the club |
